Free customer debt ledger template (credit book)

One clear record of who owes you, how much, and since when. Print it, or save it as a PDF.

Download for Excel (CSV)

How to use it

  1. 1Write each credit sale on a new line the moment it happens, with the customer's name and phone number.
  2. 2Agree a due date with the customer out loud, and write it down in front of them.
  3. 3When a customer pays part of the debt, add a new line with the payment and the new balance. Never cross out the old line.
  4. 4Ask the customer to sign or initial each new credit. It prevents arguments later about what was agreed.
  5. 5Check the ledger every week and send a friendly reminder to anyone past their due date.
